ROGER STOUGH, Ph.D

Dr. Roger Stough, ITS Center Director, is a professor at George Mason University, where he holds the NOVA Endowed Chair, is Professor of Public Policy, and is an Eminent Scholar. He is also Associate Dean for Research and External Relations at George Mason's School of Public Policy, and he is Director of the Mason Enterprise Center at George Mason.

During the past year Dr. Stough has published two books on transportation, Intelligent Transport Systems and Transport Policy. He has authored more than one hundred scholarly articles, including many on intelligent transport systems, such as "Evaluating ITS Infrastructure in a Metropolitan Area" and "Impact of Network Configuration on the Efficacy of ITS".

Dr. Stough also writes extensively on regional development issues, and has recently published two books on this topic, Regional Economic Development and Theories of Endogenous Regional Growth. Dr. Stough's research interests in ITS include evaluation, telecommuting, and traveler information systems. He received his Ph.D. in Geography and Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins.
